Pet photography is a lot like portrait photography – except your subject can’t understand you, doesn’t know what a camera or a photo is, and there’s a chance they might scratch, lick, or drool on you. In other words, it can be very challenging.
SIGMA Ambassador Anabel DFlux has spent her career mastering the art of pet photography. From choosing the right camera settings to directing humans and animals simultaneously, she knows what it takes to capture perfect pictures of her clients and their pets. And she can teach you what it takes, too!
You’ll learn everything from portraiture, dynamic action shots, lighting, and techniques, all the way to managing animals during a photo shoot.
Remember to bring your camera! This will be a lecture and two hands-on workshops in one. We will photograph sweet pups in the photo studio and then take them outside for some high-speed fun!

Anabel DFlux began her artistic journey at the age of ten, upon being gifted her first camera. Art is her passion in life, and in 2009, she made her dream a reality by establishing DFlux Photography. Anabel is a photographer without a niche - anything that inspires her gets captured! Her love for art and creation has always been an innate feeling - the camera is as much a part of her as her arm and became an extension of her body. Since then, Anabel has become renowned for her innovative work, which includes animal photography, live music shooting, and dynamic, imaginative portraits. In 2019, she became a SIGMA Ambassador and continues to work tirelessly throughout the country with the latest SIGMA lenses by her side.
