What we’re about
Welcome to the Portland Joint Committee! We’re a Portland-based group of socially conscious folks who generally enjoy cannabis and get together to do fun things. Events tend to focus on some combination of science, art, equity, nature, music, helping others, community and culture.
We plan to meet once or twice a month. Our festivities usually start with introductions and an optional group smoke, and then we’ll have/attend an event together. We hope you’ll join us, and we hope to see you often!
Our philosophy is anti-racist, anti-capitalist, pro-science, pro-equity for all, pro-LGBTQ+, multi-cultural, and cannabis friendly.
NOTE: The group has been loaned a large pan pride flag 🩷💛💙 to use. We’ll bring it to events to help us find each other. We may periodically try to send up “smoke signals” as a group as well! 💨 haha

See all- Trees with Trees: Learning to Meet TreesCouncil Crest Park , Portland, OR$20.00
This is exciting! We are being gifted with a workshop from local tree energy expert Flora Rudolph.
We’ll meet at beautiful Council Crest Summit, the highest point in Portland, known for its stunning views and amazing trees.
Flora regularly teaches tree energy classes at Hoyt Arboretum and Skamania Lodge, leads the Meeting Trees group, and is the creator of the popular deck of Tree Transformation Cards.
When you experience connecting with trees, you open a whole new world—one that lifts you out of mental clutter and daily patterns, and moves you into clarity, presence, renewal, and even messages from the trees.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to actually meet a tree and feel how each species offers a unique energy transmission.
After introductions and a short hangout, Flora will start us with a Tree Transformation Oracle Card reading for personal insight, followed by gentle qigong to open your energy centers and ground you in presence.
From this centered place, you’ll be guided to meet the trees that call to you—receiving the energy and wisdom you need.
Bring your curiosity and questions.
Maximum 15 people. Cost is $20 per person. All fees go directly to our amazing teacher. Registration is required.
We hope you’ll join us for a magical afternoon in the trees! Cannabis friendly.
