Welcome to The Happy Hour Book Club! 📚🍷 If you're a book lover who enjoys mixing the pleasure of reading with a good happy hour, this is the club for you. Every month, we’ll meet at a fabulous restaurant and chat about books over some food and drinks.
Every month, we switch to a new restaurant. That way, we get to try plenty of cool places in Porto.
Expect a warm welcome, great food, great people, and a chance to share your thoughts on our current book. Participation is encouraged but never required. Feel free to dive into the discussion or simply sit back and enjoy a glass of wine.
Here’s everything you need to know to join the fun:
Book selection: Please vote for the book that interests you the most via Instagram @happyhourbookclubporto or by sending a direct message. Voting opens after the completion of each book. Stay up to date on our current reads through Instagram and Meetup event chat.
Monthly Reading: We aim for books between 250-350 pages long. We want to keep a leisurely pace that fits our vibe.
Cost: There is no fee to sign up. You are simply responsible for paying for your meal at the restaurant.
Worry-Free Attendance: Falling behind on readings? Join us anyway for a great time (if you don't mind a few spoilers!).
Open Genre: From mysteries to memoirs, all book genres are on the table. Votes and suggestions are taken through our Instagram @happyhourbookclubporto and through Meetup discussions.
Book Access: Links to eBooks, free PDFs, and updates on local availability are provided through our Instagram stories and highlights, as well as through Meetup.
