What we’re about
Primetime ATX is the official Meetup group for the PrimetimeATX Foundation, a member supported non-profit Texas corporation organized under Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code.
We are a community of active persons ages 50 and up who are open-minded and value inclusion and diversity. OUR INTENTION is to provide a wide range of activities from live music to dancing, hiking, intimate dinners and game nights; to more esoteric events like book clubs or discussions about political, spiritual, or lifestyle topics; or giving back to the world with community service. We welcome you to join us as we explore the great city of Austin (and beyond) together to make this chapter of our lives PrimeTime!
MISSION STATEMENT
PrimeTime is dedicated to building an active, inclusive, harmonious community of diverse people aged 50 and up through a variety of events that invite members to come together to nurture their minds, bodies, and spirits through service, education, and fun! Our hope is that these events will foster new connections leading to lasting and meaningful friendships.
EVENT HOST AND EVENT ORGANIZER OPPORTUNITIES
We are always looking for people who might be interested in being an Event Host or Event Organizer . This is how we ensure the continued success and growth of our group, and is also one of the best ways to meet and get to know people! If you have a special activity you love to do or have discovered a really cool restaurant, chances are others in the group would enjoy the same things! The Leadership Team or any Event Host is happy to help you get started!
NO ANNUAL FEE
There is a one-time joining fee of $10 after the 14 day free trial. Meetup says that it is an annual fee, but IT IS NOT. Once the initial membership fee is paid, you will be designated as a "Dues Waived" member.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Contributions are always appreciated. All monies are reinvested in PrimeTime.
PRIMETIME CODE OF CONDUCT
All members will be expected to demonstrate courteous, cordial behavior in action and speech when participating in concert with the stated mission and spirit of our community when attending a PrimeTime event. Whether engaged in online dialogue or in person, Event Hosts continuously strive to create and maintain a welcoming, harmonious, supportive environment at their events where every member deserves to feel comfortable and warmly integrated into the PrimeTime community. Offensive behaviors and language will not be tolerated and will be addressed. If you believe someone violates the code of conduct, we ask that you report it confidentially in person to your event host, then make a written complaint by email to a member of the leadership team. The leadership team will consider and investigate the complaint and allow the accused party to review and respond to the written and signed complaint. We will discuss any further steps with both parties involved, to come to a resolution, but please remember, this is all handled confidentially, and is intended to remain so.

See all- Under the Oaks Concert - Giulia MillantaJonestown TX, Jonestown, TX$30.00
Giulia Millanta is an Italian born folk rock, Americana singer-songwriter. She plays guitar, baritone guitar, and ukulele and sings in four languages (English, Italian, Spanish and French).
Location: Jonestown TX (specific directions provided with RSVP)
To attend you MUST RSVP at UnderTheOaksEvents.com. You can RSVP anytime until noon on the day of the concert.
The way the concert works is simple. I invite the musicians. I invite the audience. Every audience member chips in at least $30 to pay the musicians. The musicians get 100% of the "gate." At intermission, we visit with the musicians and each other and share a little food and drink.

Reading can be a social activity; we don't have to "Bowl Alone". We read and then share our thoughts and learn the insights and opinions of others.
Those who are not Atlantic subscribers can read a few free articles per month at the Atlantic website, In addition, the Library gives free electronic access to many magazines, including the Atlantic. Your local library should also have current physical Atlantic issues. There are a lot of good reasons to be a card-carrying patron of a LIBRARY, and the magazines are among the first.
