Let's get together and discuss topics that are being banned by schools across the country and enjoy one another's company while navigating what it means to be a banned book.
This bookclub has been running for over a year and what we've learned is that censorship is something both liberal and conservatives agree on -- crazy right?
That's the point! We have to learn to have difficult conversations about topics that are hard to deal with and be okay with agreeing to disagree. The mission and hope of this group is to find the humanity in the topics, bridge the gap, and of course enjoy one another's company.
Please note: This is a safe space for open discussions, so long as it promotes growth personally and intellectually. Anyone who cannot maintain emotional or physical control will be asked to leave.
