What we’re about
Rainbow Rites Raleigh is a Queer led and Queer centered group for Pagans, Polytheists and Nature-Based Spirituality practitioners.
My intention is to make space for the mutual creation of an inclusive, compassionate, progressive and joyful community of LGBTQIA+ (and allies) practitioners from the whole spectrum of pagan, nature-based, and polytheistic paths.
Currently the plan is to start with online fellowship and book club discussions to gauge interest and co-learn. Future events to meet the needs of the community could (and most likely will) include IRL get togethers for fellowship or ritual, special events like sabbats or Pride events, and other things that could be fun as we see them pop up!
The whole intention of creating this group was to see in the world the thing I most wanted to invest in as a Queer Pagan: building community. Inclusive, diverse, intentional, proud and joyful LGBTQIA+ centered Pagan community.
And here's the best bit: I don't know how to build community! I am in no way specially qualified to do this. I just happen to have access to creating Meetup groups and knew what kinds of ideas and peers I wanted to make space for, and I'm so excited at the prospect of connecting with and learning from all of you!
