As we approach the peak, brace yourself for the gusty winds that often sweep across the summit, a testament to the altitude and the natural forces at play. WhatsApp wa.me/9137425730 - Asava Trekboisar railway station, Mumbai
Asava, a relatively less known fort in Boisar, offers a wide variety of elements that would gratify both the nature lover and history buff alike! The recently excavated cannon is on proud display at the summit and helps us time-travel through the centuries, when this fort would have probably served as a strategic watchtower that guarded the coastal regions of Palghar-Boisar.
The two water cisterns that get filled during the monsoons are an added attraction, along with a rain-water harvesting tank with steps, and the ancient “Sleeping Seeta”, that has been excavated and worshiped by the villagers.
