Philly Random Happenings is for anyone who likes fun and RANDOM activity. Games, Comedy, Parties, Networking, Music, Art and everything else! Singles, couples, and anything in-between! Indoor stuff, outdoor stuff, relaxed and casual, large events and small. Intense intellectual exercises and crazy wild ones, it's all good (and Random!)
New to Philadelphia? or a long-time resident? It's all good!
I strive to include creative activities that are much more stimulating than drinking contests or happy hours, in safe, friendly environments. Most are all-ages friendly! (a few are not)
PRH specialises in events that are bit out-of-the-ordinary!

PRH is for exciting events in any Philadelphia neighborhood, from South Philly to West, Northeast to Port Richmond, Penn's Landing to University City! From time to time, we may explore the 'burbs (but we really are Philly-centric)
We will try to mix it up as far as bike-friendly, commuter-friendly and car-friendly destinations. Expect a few events every week!
Run by game designer, manga artist and event producer Alex Strang. I cannot make it out to every event, but I at least try to share as many cool things as I find!

On Saturday, June 14, the Science History Institute's free annual celebration of science, history, exploration, and experimentation returns for a third year!
Curious Histories Fest highlights a new theme each year. Inspired by our current exhibition, Lunchtime: The History of Science on the School Food Tray, this year’s “What’s for Lunch?” theme explores the history of food science and efforts to feed children in U.S. schools.
This free, daylong event features hands-on activities and family-friendly fun, as well as exciting talks, tours, and highlights from our special collections. Come enjoy some free ice cream, then visit our museum for:- Tastes and smells with the Society of Flavor Chemists and Monell Chemical Senses Center
- Fun activities and live music by Vinyl Tap 215 founder DJ DuiJi Mshinda in our “recess yard”
- Favorite school lunch memory sharing with our Distillations podcast team
- Pickle tastings with Fishtown Pickle Project
- Tap water education and tasting with the Philadelphia Water Department’s Philly Water Bar
- Introduction to sustainable composting with Bennett Compost
- Learn about Rebel Ventures, a group of student entrepreneurs based in West Philly who create healthy food for school kids
- Live pickling demonstration by Spotted Horse Provisions and tastings of their jams, shrubs, and pickled veggies
- Plant-based Peruvian food tastings with La Llamita Vegana
- Interactive pop-up displays from our special collections, from vintage coolers to Saran Wrap
- Food-themed board games
- Other school lunch-inspired food tastings including ice cream!

A no-stress, relaxing and chill event where anyone can join in! No experience or artistic criteria, just having fun doodling with pen and paper in a cool environment.Have lunch and a drink and get ready to draw!!!
HOW IT WORKS:
You are encouraged to bring supplies (pens and paper), but we'll have some on-hand if you need them. This is NOT a sketching club, so no pencils or erasers! This is all about quickly doodling with pen!The event will be mostly free-form, though some doodling games or exercises might be included based on the group's mood!
