REEDLEY HIKING GROUP POLICIES & PROCEDURES

MEMBERSHIP DUTY: Preexisting medical conditions that could potentially affect an event and/or its participants must be disclosed to the organizer(s) and/or event host(s) prior to an event.
RISK ASSUMPTION: There are inherent risks in hiking. The environment can be hazardous. Bodily injury can occur. Expect the same risks and take the same precautions you would take if you were hiking alone. You are solely responsible for your own safety and well-being. By making this RSVP, you agree to assume all hiking risks (ie: risk of injury to your person, health, and property) and acknowledge your understanding of these inherent risks. You further acknowledge and understand that the Meetup Group, Organizers and Hosts of the hikes have no duty to ensure your safety, administer first aid or attempt any rescue operation in the event of your injury.
RELEASE-HOLD HARMLESS: You hereby release and forever discharge all organizers of this hike, the hosts, and Meetup Group from any and all claims, demands, damages, expenses, causes of action, or liability of any kind whatsoever resulting from the hike and related activities. Additionally, you expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless the persons and organizations released from any kind, including attorney fees and legal costs. I understand that I am giving up substantial rights and that I am agreeing that I will not sue the released persons and organizations.
Participation in Reedley Hiking Group activities is subject to the Membership Duty, Risk Assumption, and Release-Hold Harmless clauses listed in the “About” section on the main Reedley Hiking Group website.
