What we’re about

Our book club is a FUN, warm and welcoming group comprised of dynamic women who love to read a wide range of books.

This group usually meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the hostess' home or location of their choice (the hostess chooses the book selection for the month and facilitates the discussion). We discuss the book we have read after we share a potluck meal together.

Values
• We value community.
• We value women.
• We value diverse opinions and perspectives.
• We value reading books that push us out of our comfort zones.

What we are
• A welcoming, community-driven group of women.
• A liberal minded book club.
• A group that chooses books that occasionally you might not think you might enjoy but will offer something to be learned if you are open to that.
• A club that is open to welcoming in new members.
• A group that encourages you to read each monthly book selection but will not exclude you if you do not finish a book.

Ground rules
• Be present.
• Be respectful of one another in body language, words, tone, and expression.
• Practice active listening without talking over others: one conversation at a time.
• Do not engage in debate to change someone’s mind to your opinion or to an idealized “correct point of view.”
• Attend meetings with a mind open to reading something you might not have chosen to read and a willingness to embrace community: come in and sit all the way down.
