What we’re about
We meet the last Thursday of every month for book club, with occasional "field trips" to community performances, museum exhibits, ethnic restaurants or other local events. We read books across genres that explore issues of race, culture, gender, disability and other forms of "othering" in America as a means of educating, understanding, and seeking justice within Milwaukee and the larger community. If you're interested in experiencing other perspectives, exploring and challenging your own and society's views, and engaging in respectful dialogue we invite you to join the conversation!

See all- Dying of Whiteness, by Jonathan M. MetzlHill Valley Dairy, Milwaukee, WI
Join us to discuss Jonathan M. Metzl's Dying of Whiteness: How the Politics of Racial Resentment is Killing America's Heartland, a timely and relevant look at how conservative policies based on racial grievance often result in poorer health and safety outcomes for white Americans.
Pulling the start time up to 6pm and trying out the newly-opened Hill Valley Dairy location in Walker's Point, so come hungry for cheese, maybe some wine or a cocktail and good conversation. Parking in the area is largely on-street but there is a small pay lot on the corner of 2nd and Bruce as well. Hope to see you there!
