What we’re about
The RiversEdge Photographic Society is a photography club located in Haverhill, MA, specializing in, but not exclusively limited to, studio photography. We are a 501(c)7 organization.
The club provides a creative community for photographers with a focus and support in expanding the art and science of people photography — portrait, glamour and fashion, studio lighting and related subjects. Our mission is “to create a community of photographers who continuously learn, improve their skills, and explore the art of photographing people in a supportive environment.” Some of our imaging is artistic in nature and therefore we have our settings listed as 'private".
RIVERSEDGE CURRENTLY OPERATES A STUDIO! The studio is located at 145 Essex St, Haverhill, MA and is minutes off of Rt. 495 as well as located right next to a MBTA Commuter Rail station.
The Riversedge Photographic Society offers two levels of membership:
Club Membership
Become a Club Member for a year and enjoy the following benefits:
- Access to one workshop a month where we offer introductions to and educations on a wide range of ever-changing topics such as new types or styles of lighting, how tos, and image/portfolio reviews.
- Access to one club shoot a month where we set a theme and bring in one or more models to put what we teach into practice, improve our skills as photographers, and build up our and the models’ portfolios, and network with other photographers and models. (Club shoots require a very reasonable $20 fee to cover time, materials, and model fees. Additionally, delivery of completed, low res images to the models is expected.)
- Priority access (and discounted rates) to additional photo sessions throughout the year whenever we have a special event planned.
Studio Membership
Or, become a Studio Member at a competitive monthly rate and you’ll get:
- 10 hours per week of studio time. Conduct your own private photoshoots in our clean and accessible (1st floor) 1,000 sqft. studio with private changing room and full use of all of our lighting, modifiers, and gear within!
- Your Studio Membership automatically makes you a Club Member at no extra cost, and you get all of the benefits of that level as well!
Studio Rentals!
Not ready to grab a membership yet? Are you a Club Member who wants to try their own private session first before upgrading to the full Studio Membership? Our studio is also available to rent at a competitive hourly rate!
