Welcome to our Rotterdam Women in Tech group!
Our group is dedicated to bringing together women professionals working in all fields (development, HR, marketing, design, data, sales etc.) of technology for networking, learning and enjoyment.
Our aim is to provide a supportive and inclusive space where women in Tech can connect with each other, share their experiences and grow their careers.
Our group is open to women at all levels of their tech careers, whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned professional. We believe that by networking and collaborating, we can help each other navigate the challenges and opportunities in the tech industry.
We’ll be hosting regular events throughout the year, you’ll have the chance to connect with other women in tech, learn from experts in the field, and share your own experiences.

📢 Join Our Portfolio-Building Sessions! 🚀
Are you a developer, UX/UI designer, data scientist or anyone else needing a portfolio? And are you working on your portfolio—or thinking about starting one? Whether you're a beginner or refining an existing portfolio, this is a space to learn, share, and build together!
Having a strong portfolio is essential for showcasing your skills, experience, and unique style. It’s often the first thing potential employers or clients look at when considering you for a role or project. A well-crafted portfolio not only highlights your (technical) abilities but also tells your story and demonstrates how you approach problem-solving and design.
This session will be led by Maaike Wachters, a fullstack developer who took one look at her own outdated portfolio and decided something needed to be done about it. It helped her get a job three years ago, but it's definitely time to update it. So let's work on our portfolios together and make this a collaborative experience! 💪
The online session will cover:
✅ What makes a strong portfolio
✅ What to include (projects, case studies, personal branding)
✅ How to showcase your skills effectivelyAfter the online session, we’ll have two live co-working sessions where we can work on our portfolios together, exchange feedback, and stay motivated.

💻 Live co-working sessions: Saturday, March 1st, 11:00-13:00 and Saturday March 15th, 11:00 - 13:00 (Rotterdam Central Library). Sign up for the first session here
✅ Attendance: You don't have to sign up for all three sessions, it's fine to pick and choose which ones you'd like to attend.This is a casual, open space for anyone identifying as a woman, working in Tech at any stage, or interested in working in Tech. Let’s build together!
