Feeling like "The Only Gay in the Village"? If you're a sapphic womxn, part of the LGBTQ+ community, or someone who doesn't quite fit the traditional gender norms, this group is for you! Based in the beautiful countryside around Burford, Oxfordshire, Rural Queers is a welcoming space to connect with like-minded souls who share a love for the outdoors and cosy pub gatherings. Whether it’s walking through the woods, enjoying a pint by a roaring fire, or playing cards when the weather keeps us inside, this group is all about finding your tribe and sharing meaningful, joyful experiences.
It’s a place to be yourself, make friends, and find solidarity in rural life. Join us for relaxed walks, low-pressure meetups, and warm community vibes. Everyone under the LGBTQ+ umbrella is welcome, but we do have a particular focus on creating a space for sapphic womxn.
