What we’re about
Welcome to the Southern Oregon Camino Pilgrims! As a local Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino we are a community of people who have either walked one or more of the Camino de Santiago routes leading to Santiago de Compostela in Spain or are interested in doing so. Our goal is to support and encourage those who are interested in walking the Camino. We hold informational meetings to help you prepare for the journey, lead training hikes and walks throughout the year, and organize social events where you can meet aspiring and veteran pilgrims. If you have already walked a Camino, we invite you to join our community and share your insights and experiences with aspiring pilgrims.

Rogue River Greenway Training Walk
Fleming Memorial Park, Rogue River, Oregon, Rogue River, Or, USSince the Valley of the Rogue Park parking lot now requires a fee, we’ll be meeting instead at John F. Fleming Veterans Memorial Park in Rogue River, located on the west side of the bridge over the Rogue River.
Our training walks are meant to give you a feel for the average daily distance on the Camino — with a options built in, just like the real thing! We’ll have two options for this outing:- Option 1: We’ll all walk the Greenway to the picnic area at Valley of the Rogue Park (about 3.6 miles each way). Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy when we arrive! Most of the route is paved, with a few scenic off-pavement stretches along the river. Total distance: 7.2 miles round trip.
- Option 2: After lunch, you can continue another 3 miles to Del Rio Winery, where we’ll take a relaxing break before returning. Total distance: about 13.2 miles.
🚻 Restrooms are available at Valley of the Rogue Park and along the trail.

Tertulia - A Casual Gathering
Dunbar Farms, 2881 Hillcrest Rd., Medford, OR, USA tertulia is a Spanish tradition—an informal gathering to share conversation and connection. We’d love for you to join us for an afternoon with fellow pilgrims, both past and future, to swap stories, ask questions, and enjoy good company.
Dunbar Farms offers wine and other beverages, along with a limited food menu for anyone who’d like a late lunch. Come to reminisce, to learn, or simply to enjoy a relaxed afternoon together in a beautiful setting.
