Lets go sailing!! It's a wine and cheese cruise, with a sunset!
Watching the sunset on the water is a truly magical experience, and creates lasting memories, its even better on a sailboat! Colorado has spectacular sunsets! If the wind is right, we can get to the part of the lake that is best for our viewing!
Here is a chance to go out on a 25 foot sailboat and see what sailing is all about. Mother Nature can give us smooth seas or excitement you'll never forget. The captain is very experienced, we haven't lost anyone yet.
Bring some snacks and drinks to share, some wine or sparkling water to toast the sunset!
Cherry Creek Reservoir is right in town and easy to get to. It is a state park and requires a fee to drive in ($11). Or, park in the school lot across from the park entrance and a short walk in for free.
Weather depending, we typically come back to the dock just after sunset.(See pictures) Please dress appropriately.... Please bring some snacks and beverages. There's a bluetooth speaker, bring some music! It's alway fun to be on a boat. Bring some snacks and drinks to share...
Never sailed before??? Come on out and we'll show you a few things.
Already an expert? Come out and show us a few things!!!
A Sunset cruise is a perfect way to unwind and connect with nature. Enjoy the peacefulness of the water and the beauty of the sunset!

Boat Rules:
First one- This is a for-fun opportunity. Sailing can indeed be an enjoyable and enriching experience, often appealing to those with a positive and adventurous mindset. It offers a chance to connect with nature, develop news skills, and enjoy the tranquility of the open water.
Second- This is a really small group, if you RSVP to join the event, please attend the adventure. If you sign up, show up! Not sure yet? please wait until you are sure, to sign up! No shows, and folks who change RSVP to "no" will be walkin' the plank! (removed from the group) Not everybody lives on their computer to receive these updates, and then that RSVP spot goes empty. Please be kind to yer' fellow sailor, I insist!
Third- Considering bringing yer' boyfriend, or girlfriend?? Don't do it! (this is a singles only cruise) You'll be walkin' the plank too!
Fourth- Bring some snacks and drinks to share... don't come empty handed!
Bring a rainjacket if needed and limit your sign-up to once a month.
*RSVP begins 4 days prior to sail (Tuesday lunch hour) at 12:30pm.... to help avoid "no-shows".
Also, please check your GPS! It may put you at the RTD park-n-ride and tell you to walk the last 3-4 miles... Don't do it! Find the west entrance to Cherry Creek State Park which is at the intersection of Union and Dayton St. across the street from Cherry Creek High School, where the "dam road" starts. If you need help call Keith at 303-550-5781 and check the map above! Seriously, check the map.
