Speed dating is a fun low pressure way to meet eligible singles who are tired of the scams and dating apps. Meet others face to face where you can actually look into the eyes of the person you are talking to, see their body language and feel the chemistry.
NOVO Brazilian Brewing features a relaxed and airy atmosphere, craft beers and cocktails and great food. On parking and public transportation are nearby.
This event is for Singles Ages: 50-65
How It Works
Registration is 6:45pm-7pm. (You may arrive earlier to grab food and drinks at the bar)
You will be given a dating card so you can keep track of the people you want to see again. At 7pm your host will get everyone seated and on their way.
Each date will last 6 minutes.
The women will stay seated and the men will rotate until you have met everyone of the opposite gender.
You will also have the opportunity to connect for friendships or business in case there is no romantic chemistry.
Following the event you will hand in your dating cards. You will be notified of your matches within 24 hours.Cost $25 includes the event only
Tickets and Check In
- You will need to bring a valid ID that shows your date of birth.
- Your name will be on a list at check in but it is always good to have your confirmation as a back up.
In order to maintain a gender balance, pre-registration is required, no walk-ins will be accepted, and no refunds will be granted within 1 week of the event.

San Diego's Little Italy is the largest in the country! The streets are alive with tourists, locals music, food and drinks. Join us for this fun and informative night where you will help the police solve the Murder of "Meet Up Manny" who is a regualar at the bars and restaurants. Come alone or with friends. We'll set everyone up on teams and send you on an adventure you won't forget.
How it works:- Registration is at 7:00pm at Ballast Point Brewing.
- When you arrive we will randomly team you up with 4-6 others (unless you join with a team) then send you out into the streets to find clues that you will need to solve the mystery.
- Each team will have 90 minute to get as many clues as they can. You will use those clues to figure out what happened to Manny.
- After you have found all the clues or your time has run out, you will head back to Ballast Point where we will tally up the scores and announce the winners.
- Following the hunt the group is invited to stay for food and drinks at Ballast Point!
What are we looking for? The clues are things that are part of the history, geography and everyday things found on the buildings, streets, restaurants and people.

The Story: MeetUp Manny is an old school neighborhood guy who grew up in Brooklyn New York and moved to San Diego last year. He spent a lot of time doing various Meet Up and Singles events to try and find friends. He was a regular at the bars and restaurants of Little Italy here because it reminded him of home. Unfortunately, Manny's brash personality doesn't quite fit in with the California lifestyle. One night Manny disappears and you will need to retrace his steps and find clues to find out what happened to him! (It is all in good fun, nothing gruesome!)
Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It's a great way to meet new people. We will randomly set up teams. If you have a team just let us know when you arrive.
Dress Code: Casual, comfortable

Illness Protocols/Refunds
This event is nonrefundable unless canceled. If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor's note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by SDSN
