Welcome to San Luis Obispo (SLO) County Friends of Italy!
We love, embrace, and engage in all aspects of Italian culture. Yes, we have a ❤️ for all things Italian! Whether you're a native Italian, Italian Swiss, an Italophile, or simply curious about Italy, this is the perfect place to meet new people and create friendships based on our shared passions. 🤝
Join us as we gather to savor Italian cuisine 🍝 in local restaurants, take cooking classes 🍳, and enjoy progressive dinners 🍷; practice the Italian language, explore Italian films 🎥 and music 🎶, celebrate cultural traditions 🎉, and organize travel events ✈️ to Italy and the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, including the stunning Canton of Ticino.
We are true friends of the Italian people! 🌍 We’re excited to welcome Italian high school exchange students to SLO County! 🎓 These students will bring fresh, unique perspectives and traditions that enrich our community and deepen our understanding of global diversity. 🌎💬
And one day, as a result of our love and open hearts, we will establish Sister City relationships with towns in Italy and Switzerland! 🏙️This is our BIG picture vision. 🌟
Together, let's build a vibrant community in SLO County that celebrates the rich heritage and beauty of Italy and its people. Join us in creating unforgettable experiences and lasting connections! 💫

What is Bocce Ball?
Bocce Ball is a game that dates back to Ancient Rome and is still one of Italy's favorite sports. Played on a long, flat court, the goal is simple: get your team's balls closest to the small target ball, known as the pallino. It’s easy to learn but offers enough strategy and skill to keep things competitive! Why Play Bocce Ball?

- Wonderful for all ages and fitness levels.
- Helps sharpen coordination and focus while enjoying some friendly competition! What's Happening at This Meetup:
