All are welcome to join our Sangha for an hour of connection and group meditation!
Even though it seems we’re always connected thanks to social media and our smartphones, that notion couldn’t be further from the truth. A recent survey revealed that over 3 in 5 Americans are lonely. To make matters worse, this feeling of isolation has substantially increased over the last few years.
Let’s fix that!
This week, let’s change it up a little. We’re lucky enough to call a community our own (Our Sangha), let’s take this time for some real connection, and get to know each other a bit more.
Loneliness occurs when there’s a lack of genuine human connection to other people. But what does human connection mean, really?
Connections matter. Strong ties with family, friends and the community provide us with happiness, security, support and a sense of purpose. Being connected to others is important for our mental and physical wellbeing and can be a protective factor against anxiety and depression.
Human connection is a deep bond that's formed between people when they feel seen and valued. During an authentic human connection, people exchange positive energy with one another and build trust. Human connection makes you feel heard and understood and gives you a sense of belonging.
“We all are so deeply interconnected; we have no option but to love all. Be kind and do good for any one and that will be reflected. The ripples of the kind heart are the highest blessings of the Universe.”
