What we’re about
This group is for people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are looking to be more social and get out for fun adventures. Being in your 20s, 30s, or 40s is the only requirement. I get messages from folks outside that range, and my reply back is that there are other social groups on this site for your age range. The only other requirement for this group is that you are respectful to everyone in the group. We have a fun, relaxed, and respectful energy in this group, which I would really love to keep, so if I learn that you are disrespecting other members of the group, you won't be welcomed back. We're all adults.
In this group we meet once or twice a month for a fun activity usually around the New Hampshire, Maine, or Mass seacoast area. Here are some of the kinds of things we do: trivia, kayaking, hiking, going to concerts, beach days, restaurants, and more. The goal with this group is to meet some new friends who are also in their 20s, 30s, and 40s and to have some fun. If you have an idea for an activity you'd like to do, let me know!
Friendly *FYI* For events that have a limited number of RSVPs, if you RSVP that you are going and the event happens and you were a no-show for two different meetups events, you will get the boot from the group. Also, if you RSVP and cancel the day of the Meetup event three different times, you will get the boot. Not updating your RSVP or canceling the day of the event prevents others from coming, and it messes up the reservations. I've seen how other Meetup groups handle this, and I asked some of you, and we agreed that this seems fair. Last minute stuff happens--we all get that, but this is to prevent chronic no-shows and chronic last-minute dropouts.
AS A CONDITION OF ATTENDING ANY OF THIS GROUP'S MEETUPS, YOU AGREE TO: Hold harmless and indemnify the organizers and their relations and heirs, and all members and participants of the Meetup group from any and all claims for injury, illness, death, and/or property damage including those caused by negligence, ignorance, inexperience, and other reasons. You also agree to assume all mental, physical, financial, and/or other risk associated with any of this group's meetups. Activities of these meetups pose inherent risks and dangers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and dependent upon your own personal judgement. As organizers, we make no claims regarding any expertise for these outings. These meetups are not guided tours. Participation by you or your guests is completely voluntary and you are liable for your own actions and the actions of your guests.

See all- Jake Swamp and the Pine Concert @ The Word Barn on 5/2/25Word Barn, Exeter, NH
I love The Word Barn. The venue is small, but the acts they get are really good. In the summer, they have outside shows that make you feel like you're at a show in the woods. The Barn itself is small, quirky, super old, and a Pinterest's dream. This particular show will be in the barn. Jake Swamp and the Pine have a Noah Kahan kind of folk rock sound. I listened to a few of their songs, and they seem super talented. I feel like this place is an opportunity to see small acts before they get really big, which is cool and cheaper on the old wallet.
Here's the link to the show: Ticket and Show/Venue Info
*I bought the $25 General Admission Ticket, which came out to $28.55 with fees.
If you're looking for food before the show, Newmarket is down the road and has a lot of options like Johnny Bostons, Wing-Itz, and more.
Location: The Word Barn
66 Newfields Road, Exeter, NH 03833They have a limited number of tickets because it's a small venue, which is why I am posting this event so early. Order yours through the website link and then RSVP to the event.
I should be there around 6:30 pm.
They typically have some beer on tap and bottled drinks. You guys asked for events at this venue, and if you know me, it's the easiest ask ever. This place and the people who go to these shows are all amazing. I'll be posting several events at this venue this summer, so if this band doesn't look like your jam, maybe another one will.
I usually park at their overflow parking lot (a mowed field) because the main parking lot fills quickly. I then walk up the walk and into the barn. You should be able to locate us in the barn, but if not, message me, and I'll wave you over.
I'm excited to get more Word Barn action in--if you couldn't tell. 😁
As always, message me or post to the event page if you have any questions or concerns.
New people come to pretty much every meetup, and we love meeting new people, so don't be shy. Come be social with us!
Hope to see you there!

- Disc Golf at Bellamy Park Disc Golf Course and Dinner/Drinks After in Dover, NHBellamy Park Parking, Dover, NH
Let's play some disc golf! I play pretty regularly with buddies, so I have plenty of extra discs, so don't worry about having your own disc. I'll have one for you. It's also free! How great is that? Don't know how to play? No problem! I can show you. I'm not competitive with it at all. Really, for me, disc golf is a chance to walk in the woods. It's fun and peaceful. This is a popular park as the disc golf course is pretty good, so there will be other people out there.
Address: Bellamy Park Disc Golf Parking Lot
The course is near Dover High School. Park at the address above as that's where the first hole is. We can play 9 holes or 18 if we're feeling it. Then, we can head into Dover and grab some food or drinks. We can decide what place the day of, so think of some good spots.
We welcome new people, and if you don't want to actually play disc golf, you can always just walk the course with us. This is really low key.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me.
***If the weather looks like it will downpour rain, we'll cancel this event for another day. If it looks like there might be just a short shower, I'll likely keep the event on. I will make the call two days before.
Hope to see you there!
- Beach Day! Let's go to Wallis Sands State Beach in Rye, NH on Sunday, June 8thWallis Sands State Beach, Rye, NH
Beach Day!
I chose Wallis Sands State Beach because it has a big parking lot, bathrooms, you can reserve a parking spot for the day, and it's a nice beach. This will make it easier (logistically) for us to meetup.
I would suggest buying your $15 full day entry/parking pass ahead of time as this is a popular beach. You can carpool to make it cheaper, so comment on the page if you want to set that up. I will be buying mine when it gets closer to the event (so I can see how the weather looks). Here's the link to buy the day pass: Parking/entry pass and beach info
***If it is supposed to downpour rain all day, I will make the call and cancel the event, likely two days before. But if it's only a passing shower, I'll likely keep the event on. I can't be perfect, but I'll do my best to make the right call.
Bring your beach chair, towels, swimwear, sunscreen, water (no glass), snacks, and any beach games that you would like. We can swim, walk the beach, play some games, or just lounge, chat, and soak up the sun.
I'm not going to set a limit to this event. For new people, I'll put a "SSC" label on my cooler and update where we are on the event page. We always welcome new people. 😊
Message me for any questions or concerns.
Hope to see you there!
