Some people requesting to join this group are still not putting their surnames, or part thereof, with their first names. This goes under your photo and it distinguishes you from other members with the same first names and avoids confusion for hosts and also for payments being made for the annual fee or for events . YOU MUST UPLOAD A PHOTO OF YOURSELF AND PUT YOUR FULL NAME ON YOUR PROFILE , otherwise your request to join our group will be declined. It is very confusing for hosts when we don't know who you are when you attend an event. Also some members put up nicknames or fake names .. these are not being accepted anymore. Shades of 60 Plus is a meet up group for both men and women who have reached the age of freedom - when we have more time for getting out and socialising without the restriction of watching the clock. If you're aged 60 +, single/married/widowed/separated/divorced , you are all welcome to the group. Based in Dublin and also open to people in surrounding counties or if you're visiting Dublin. The priority is to get together and socialise - whether it be outdoors/indoors, casual or fine dining, walks,sporting events, dancing, visiting places of interest etc... the list can be endless . Members are welcome to suggest events. The annual fee is €5 and is paid to the host at your first event with the group .

If you join and don't attend any events during the first 4 months, it will be presumed that you are not interested in this particular group, so your name will be removed .
Members must put up a photo of themselves ( Not of a bird/dog/cat/flower etc). It is necessary as then we can recognise you when you attend an event. So please remember- NO PHOTO - NO APPROVAL
