Hey writers! We'll be meeting inside Panera, located at 2100 Dixwell Ave in Hamden. In-person meetings differ from online ones. We'll do an initial check-in at 7pm with introductions, then do timed independent writing for an hour. After the hour is up, we can chat about what we worked on, socialize a bit, or simply say goodbye (and thank you for the hour of writing). Shut Up & Write is a writing accountability group and is not a venue for workshopping; however, you are more than welcome to set up workshopping, cowriting, etc, sessions with people you meet at the events. The Shut Up & Write website, shutupwrite.com , also has writing challenges as well as additional resources available.
Event Timeline:
- 7:00pm: Announcements and Introductions
- 7:15pm (earlier if we finish intros quickly): Silent timed writing time for 1 hour
- 8:15pm: Check-in following silent writing, clean up materials

You are welcome to arrive prior to 7 pm for additional socializing or focused writing time. The hosts (Anna, Debra, and Leon) make an effort to be there early as well.
