Welcome to the *original* SBC Charlotte!
Often with traditional book clubs there's pressure to finish an assigned book and spend a great deal of time chatting with others. Wouldn't it be great to have a book club where you could just enjoy books and optionally make some new friends—without any homework? We welcome you to the Silent Book Club.
It goes like this: we'll grab a drink, mingle to share what we're reading, meet some other introverted bookish types, and perhaps find a comfy spot to read. Or just enjoy making new friends and talking everything books - there are no rules in this SBC! Sound like your cup of tea? Join us on a Monday or Tuesday each month from 6:30-8:30pm. Locations will rotate.
*NEW Feb 2023* Dues: In order to keep offering meetups and other events, after almost two years SBC Charlotte will require members to pay a small annual fee to continue to enjoy everything our book club offers. A portion of this fee goes to Meetup, and the rest will cover organizers’ time commitments, supplies, event costs, and establish a more engaged community. Thank you in advance for your contribution.
