This group hosts exclusive group dinners with Single Gourmet and mixers for singles looking to meet and socialize safely without feeling pressure. It's fun, inclusive and an easy way to meet others with a certain hint of cachet thrown in. There is always a host on hand to welcome you and introduce you to other guests. All events are pre-paid so you simply show up and know that you have a confirmed reservation.
Many of the events are at some of Ottawa's finest restaurants, clubs, lounges and bistros.
If you are looking for something a little different and would like to meet other like minded singles in person then this may be for you.

Join Single Gourmet for a night of mingling and wine tasting at Charlotte Lounge. (340b Elgin Street). We have a VIP reservation with Sommelier Ray, a great friend and wine connoisseur.
We'll mix and mingle and play a mixer game (w/door prize) then Ray will have us in groups to sample some unique wines not always available at the LCBO.....Ray is interactive and encourages socializing and discerning chat. A perfect event for us.
Charcuterie will also be served.

As Honorary Chair of this event, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 29th Annual Evening in the Maritimes, which will take place on Thursday, May 29th at the Westin Ottawa Hotel. This event is Ottawa's premier East Coast kitchen party, bringing the Maritimes right here to Ottawa for one night filled with fresh Nova Scotia lobster and other tasty dishes, lively East Coast Music, a networking cocktail reception, compelling stories, and a chance for guests to bid on unique auction items...all in support of ABLE2's programs.
For the last 51 years, ABLE2: Support for People with Disabilities (ABLE2) has offered programs and services that empower persons of all ages across the disability spectrum and their families, to build
lives of meaning and joy as valued and contributing members of our community. By supporting this event, attendees will assist people with disabilities to move towards greater independence, overcome
barriers, reduce their vulnerability and improve their mental and physical health.MENU OPTIONS
- Seafood - A 4-course meal featuring Artisan greens salad + traditional seafood chowder with scallops, salmon, shrimp, clams & P.E.I mussels + a whole cracked Nova Scotia lobster served hot with melted butter, coleslaw & potato salad sides + a platter of East coast-inspired sweet bites for sharing and tea/coffee.
- Beef - A 4-course meal featuring Artisan greens salad + traditional seafood chowder with scallops, salmon, shrimp, clams & P.E.I mussels + seared beef tenderloin with potato mash, seasonal vegetables and wine sauce + a platter of East coast-inspired sweet bites for sharing and tea/coffee.

Regular rate (March 1st, 2025 - May 12th, 2025) $328(I realize it is more expensive than our usual Meetups but attendees will receive a partial tax receipt of approximately 45% of the price. )
I know this did not work last year :), but to ensure that people from this group sit together, when you buy your ticket, you will be asked to pick a zone (New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, No preference.) Select no preference and under additional seating preferences, write part of Singles Gourment, so they know to put people from this group together. (Note that the different sections do not necessarily make a large difference. The atmosphere is the same across all sections.)
