Hi all. I have arranged a group kayaking event on a weekend for us along the Potomac River. It includes all of the equipment and an intro on how to kayak in case this will be your first experience. The special rate for our group is $100 per person but we have to secure a minimum of 10 paid participants and maximum of 16. I would be the first. It is also a 2.25 hour drive to get there (not including traffic or stops for meals) and of course the same to return so this will be an all-day adventure. The kayaking portion will last for 3 hours. The description of the trip is as follows:
Enjoy a three-hour guided trip of a serene and scenic section of the Potomac River on our signature trip. This trip offers your group a "quick start" kayak lesson for beginners and the opportunity to learn about the flora, fauna, and significant history of the Potomac River ecosystem. All our beginner trips are specifically designed for people with limited to no paddling experience (calm water, stable kayaks, friendly instruction).
This trip will happen, no refunds whether it is raining or you decide you cannot attend. If there is lightning when we are scheduled to launch (2pm) we will wait it out. If it is a hurricane, the company will reschedule our trip (again, no refunds) but this is normal for adventure companies. P.S. All monies will be paid directly to the company. I will not make any profit other than the pleasure of your company. :)
