SmArt Drawing and Sculpting from the Figure

Join SmArt for an immersive art experience centered around sculpting from life where you can sculpt a portrait from a life model and then prep it and fire it to take home. This is suitable for those with some experience as it is not tutored. there is just a little coaching available

What it involves: 5 sessions directly sculpting in a fully equipped sculptors studio followed by an optional long session/day of digging out, This technique that preps a piece for firing. Once learnt- this technique can be used again and again making sculpted pieces. So whether you are a seasoned artist or just know the basics, as long as you are not a complete beginner this event is the perfect opportunity to delve into the world of clay modelling and sculpt a head

In this series, i will be sculpting alongside but happy to do it bit of coaching- but his is not a group for beginners

Dates: Every Tuesday in April 1,8,15,22 & 29
Additional: Digging out and prep extra long session
Cost £195 for 6 weeks and digging put
Cost £150 for the Sculpture club members if you bring everything you will need

These costs both include everything you need A bag of clay, cloths, armatures and everything that's required to look after the clay during the course. ( If you aren't a sculpture club member but already have clay and armatures etc then dm me for a reduced price)

It is a relaxed and friendly untutored life drawing group, which meets fortnightly on a Saturday. Different events, models, timing and themes, good lighting and careful design. Max 12 people with the model and myself.

Basic materials, paper and easels will be supplied along with tea coffee and biscuits.
