The purpose of this meetup is to create a fun and supportive environment where we can improve our skills, enjoy competitive games, and connect socially. While we do aim to play seriously and challenge ourselves, the focus is more on growth and enjoyment than simply winning at all costs. That’s why the title doesn’t include “competitive” or “social”—we want a healthy mix of both. This is a space where you won’t be judged for making mistakes, but we do expect a mindset geared toward learning and getting better over time. That said, this group isn’t intended for total beginners; a basic understanding of the game is expected so that everyone can contribute to meaningful and engaging matches. The host holds the right to remove you from the game if they are rude, doesn't listen and or is bringing bad vibes.Skill Level:

Minimum Skill Requirements: Solid BB (click here for details)Attention:
- This event is NOT on a first come-first serve basis and players with higher skill level and players who can bring a net/ball will get priority over others on the wait list.
- Since skill levels are self-reported, some new attendees may not meet the expected level. We encourage you to choose a partner you can enjoy the game with, and since this a competitive event, it is okay if you make a strong team and win all the games.
- Each person must help set up and take down one net, leaving some nets unset for latecomers.

Volleyball - Advanced Beginners (B) - Quincy Park

WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll start with mixed games to warm up
and get everyone moving. Then we’ll split into two groups:Rally Group(you are able to reliably receive/set. Have good ball control and a consistent serve.
Fundamentals Group(can set and receive sometimes, but could benefit from drills to improve ball control
**Note that a spot in the rally group is not guaranteed **
We’ll end with a some final mixed games so we all get to play together again. The goal is to keep things fun, supportive, and give everyone a chance to play, improve, and enjoy themselves.
ATTENTION
- This is NOT first-come, first-serve. Invites will be sent out to balance skill levels. Priority is also given to those with good attendance who have demonstrated a positive attitude and good sportsmanship.
- Attendance: Make sure your name is on the going list if you plan to play. Please update your RSVP at least 12 hours in advance if your plans change.
- Injuries: Play safely and be mindful of others on the court. Respect positions and avoid risky moves that could lead to injury.
