Come play some volleyball! If you’ve already learned the basics, this is for you!
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner (click here for details).
Skill Level Note: The game level might be slightly below a solid B, as this event is beginner‑friendly. We welcome beginners who are willing to listen, learn and try to improve by always playing three passes.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll start with mixed games to warm up
and get everyone moving. Then we’ll split into two groups:A. Rally Group(you are able to reliably receive/set. Have good ball control and a consistent serve.
B. Fundamentals Group(can set and receive sometimes, but could benefit from drills to improve ball contro
We’ll end with a some final mixed games so we all get to play together again. The goal is to keep things fun, supportive, and give everyone a chance to play, improve, and enjoy themselves.
ATTENTION
- This is NOT first-come, first-serve. Invites will be sent out to balance skill levels. Priority is also given to those with good attendance who have demonstrated a positive attitude and good sportsmanship.
- Attendance: Make sure your name is on the Going list if you plan to play. If your name is on the list but you don’t show up, it will count as an absence according to Smiley Social rules. Please update your RSVP at least 12 hours in advance if your plans change.
- Injuries: Play safely and be mindful of others on the court. Respect positions and avoid risky moves that could lead to injury.

Smiley Social documents: - BB+ Quads - Competitive Grass Volleyball @Quincy Park (2-3 nets)Quincy Park in Arlington , Arlington, VA
Let's get together to play some competitive volleyball. RSVPs are *NOT* on a first-come basis. You'll be placed on the waitlist first and then moved to "Going" by the host/s based on a combination of skill, attendance at prior events, and their ability to bring a ball/net, so please answer the RSVP questions fully.
The event will be capped after enough BB+ players are "going" with available nets. If not enough players are going, organizer/s will post a message whether games are on with fewer players or cancel the event. If you are a no-show, you took someone else’s spot. If host flags you as no-show you will be removed from group per Smiley Social Rules and if not flagged, you wont get priority next time in this event.

The purpose of this meetup is to create a fun and supportive environment where we can improve our skills, enjoy competitive games, and connect socially. While we do aim to play seriously and challenge ourselves, the focus is more on growth and enjoyment than simply winning at all costs. That’s why the title doesn’t include “competitive” or “social”—we want a healthy mix of both. This is a space where you won’t be judged for making mistakes, but we do expect a mindset geared toward learning and getting better over time. That said, this group isn’t intended for total beginners; a basic understanding of the game is expected so that everyone can contribute to meaningful and engaging matches. The host holds the right to remove you from the game if he believes that you are at a C level.
Skill Level:- If you want to know your level, please see the link below:
