SoCal Hikers & Trail Builders is an advance group of hikers. We currently do not post beginners' hiking events. We do from time to time will post urban events, ie, trips to local gardens and eateries. Otherwise, all hiking events are tailored for advanced hikers.
To give back to our hiking community under a service agreement with the Angeles National Forest agency, we volunteer to maintain the Lower Sam Merrill Trail to Echo Mountain, Stone Canyon to Mount Lukens, and Trail Canyon Waterfall Trail. I urge everyone to join one of these events at least once a year.

It is FREE to join the group and to attend any SoCal Hikers & Trail Builders' events. This group was created for friends hiking together. Please have a profile picture of yourself, not your dog, flower, or anything else. Your profile picture is what is submitted to first responders in case of emergency.
The hike leaders in this group aren't professional or trained hiking leaders. You are responsible for yourself. By signing up for these events, you and your guests agree not to hold the SoCal Hikers & Trail Builders organizers responsible for whatever happens to you on these events.
