Lace up your walking shoes and join us for a refreshing nature walk at Summer Leys Nature Reserve! This event is perfect for those looking to connect with nature, stay active, and socialize with fellow walking enthusiasts. We will explore the beautiful trails Summer Leys Nature, taking in the fresh air and scenic views along the way. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking to enjoy a leisurely walk in a picturesque setting, this event is for you.
The walk is about 3miles to 4miles depending on how energetic people feel.
The starting point is the Stags head in Great Doddington. You can park at the pub or in the village, we shall no doubt stop at the pub afterwards for the usual refreshment. The pub also sells a good selection of coffee roasted locally and food.
The walk will initially pass through the village, we will head down into the valley across meadows, join the gravelled path that passes around the nature reserve before heading back up to Great Doddington on the Ridge to terminate at the Pub. Mostly of good surface, but there may be muddy parts in places, so good walking shoes recommended.
This walk will also be posted on Wellingborough Independent Walking Group.
See you all there!
Julian.
