Koru mindfulness is a 4 session mindfulness training course originally developed by Dr. Holly Rogers at Duke University. The four weeks will consist of learning from the basics of mindfulness, process with the group about challenges in practicing mindfulness, and introduce various forms of meditation practices.
Koru Mindfulness teaches skills to help: calm and focus the mind, deepen self-reflection, increase self-compassion, and find life balance.
Some skills taught in Koru Mindfulness include:
Breathing exercises, Guided imagery, Body scan, Walking meditation, Gatha meditation, Labeling thoughts and feelings, and Eating meditation.
There will be four virtual 75 minute zoom sessions for this course. We will meet on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM for 4 weeks. The price for the four sessions is $80.
