Who doesn't love a flaming torch and blazing molten metals? Come join us for The Steel Yard's new flagship event: Fire Camp! We'll explore The Yard, check out a live welding contest, enjoy food and drinks, browse metalworks, and -- once the fires are in full swing -- watch as sculptures are brought to life with molten metals right before our very eyes. Bring warm clothing and a chair (maybe a blanket) and wear comfortable shoes. Entry fee is a suggested $7 donation (purchase here). Host will post a selfie prior to meetup start time to help you find the group. (Note: Fire Camp starts at 11am so you are welcome to arrive early if you wish. The meetup will gather at 3pm.)

Join us for a full lighting of Waterfire, one of the last for 2025. We'll meet at 5:15 in WaterPlace Park Basin, where the ceremony starts at 5:40pm (sunset). This ceremony will honor Rhode Island’s veterans and active duty military personnel. 150 veterans holding torches will process into the WaterPlace Park Basin and create a ring of fire during the lighting of the braziers. After we've had our fill of Waterfire, those who want to join will meander over to the food hall at Track 15 for a bite and a tipple. Wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes. Get ready to dance! Join us for some live music in the brewing barn at Ragged Island in Portsmouth, RI. This is a small venue; max 100 tickets. Tickets are $17 (purchase here).
