This intentionally somewhat small group is for women 55 and up young in years in the South San Jose / Morgan Hill area that love Bunco or want to learn how to play, and enjoy spending a few hours together once every other month socializing and having fun in the hope we connect with others and form lasting friendships for game night and other activities, in and outside of the group venues.
Although a private group, the group description is available for reading by all who click on our group. Please ensure we would be a good fit before sending a request to join.
Our Bunco game nights were initially the first Friday night of the month. Since the pandemic, we have tried Zoom Bunco, and sporadically gotten together on off days for in-person Bunco. Skip to present day, we are playingvevery other month for Day Bunco on a Saturday. Ideally, we will rotate homes and hostesses but if you are unable to host at your home, you could always be the hostess in someone else's home for that month. Also, we have a venue that can host us. To enjoy the game to the fullest, ideally we will need 12 ladies (3 tables of 4) but will still have Bunco if we have a minimum of 8 (will be a High and Low table) or as high as 16 players. If less than 8 rsvp's then we will poll to see if interested in skipping Bunco and meeting for something else. Hoping we will have more members than that as we can always plan additional ladies' get-togethers now and then if there is interest. Please, be a team player (gets along well with others), no drama, and non-abrasive. Last-minute cancellations are highly discouraged but know things do come up in life. Too many of these will result in a no-show category. Three no-shows and you will be asked to leave the group until such time your schedule and availability free up to commit to attending events.
To join you must provide a legible fairly current photo of yourself, keep a legible photo of yourself throughout your time with this group, complete profile, have a residence in the south bay area in which you reside, be willing to host in your home or be a co-host in someone else's local home or venue. Usually, all events will have at least a one-week lead date & time published notification for rsvp sign-ups.
We have intentionally kept this group small (about 70 members)and do have a running list of game substitutes so we are not seeking members who only want to sub. If you have been a member for a while, you are more than welcome to bring a guest if we have spots open and members have been given a chance to fill the spots first. Guests always need to be run by the organizer. Please know that we are definitely open to a few more happy, laid-back, and local active members. Looking forward to our first Bunco game day or other fun activity together.
