What we’re about

Hello and Welcome to the South Shore 21-35 Anxiety & Depression Social Support Group

I started this group do to being frustrated with the lack of social groups dedicated to those who suffer from mental illness or are strong advocates to mental illness. For years, I as a young adult with mental health issues, I have often found myself on the outside looking in when it comes to social events and establishing new meaningful connections. I’d try to go to these events and muster the courage to socialize with people I don’t know, in a high stress setting, met by panicking and feelings of doubt when the event becomes too much. I am tired of going through this process on my own. I know there’s got to be other individuals who are trying and need support, looking for a community to feel seen, heard, and naturally understood in regards to there mental health and just as a natural human being outside of their labeled mental health status.

I’m hoping people buy into this and want to join, and will figure it along the way.

If that didn’t scare you off well this is what I plan to do. I plan to have different social events where people can go to or not and connect with other about their anxiety and depression struggles while also engaging in structured activities

—Recreational Sports

—Game Nights

—Bars, Clubs, Pubs

—Sports games live and watch parties

—Live concerts
