It has been an extreme honor to have led our group this past year. Meeting good people was actually the goal, I used spades as a pawn to do so!
Unfortunately with any good situation sometimes we have bad apples and as the saying goes one bad apple spoils the bunch. I have created codes of conduct for us to govern ourselves by so that we can have a great 2nd year and many more to come. I want to catch the apple before she/ he starts!!
Before I get into the 3 codes of conduct I am going to respectfully ask the following:
- Please RSVP for an event if you are coming. Let's get out of the habit of dropping in. There are many reasons I can list as the why, but respect to the process and what we are trying to do will cover the why.
- Please UN rsvp once you realize that you will not be able to attend.
Code of conduct: Let's continue to show up to events, be cordial, mingle, play spades, get home safely! Be adults
- This first rule if broken will be automatic removal from the group.
: Sexual Harassment - any inappropriate verbage or physical contact that is unwanted, requested to stop, that can be deemed or felt like sexual harassment. Love and Spades is a thing and I have witnessed people getting married from meeting each other at spades events. But a No is a NO!
The following the leadership team will vote to either dismiss or allow grace with a talking to:
- No messiness, no drama, no negative energy verbally or behavior. This is subjective thus a vote. Meet people, enjoy the events, have fun go home safely, will ensure you don't bring drama or messiness.
- No violent behavior or aggressive behavior - verbally or physically
We are bringing back - it ain't that serious Spades one game at a time!
