SpeakEasy Creative Collective

This workshop is for anyone interested in storytelling—whether you're looking to refine your craft or build the confidence to step up to the mic! We provide a supportive space where you can share your work with the group. If you’d like feedback, just ask! Otherwise, you’re free to simply share and practice.

There is an open-mic following the workshop at 7pm (there are two separate invites). An open-mic is not a feedback session—it’s more like a show. However, your work doesn’t have to be polished! This is a space to practice stage presence and share whatever you’d like—read or recite stories, poems, jokes, or anything in between.

We hope the workshop attendees will stay for the open-mic, whether to perform, read, or simply enjoy the experience.

They have a delicious ham and cheese croissant if you get hungry between the workshop and the open mic!!

Storytelling Open-Mic Night!
The 2nd Tuesday of every month! WE WILL START PROMPTLY AT 7PM
Step up to the mic and share your story! While storytelling is at the heart of this event, we also welcome, literary work, poetry and jokes. A fun, low-pressure space to recite or read your work & celebrate and connect!

If you're a fan of The Moth Story Hour, you already know how impactful storytelling can be! Whether you want to perform or simply enjoy the show, all are welcome.
The group organizer (Julia), will be preparing to enter the Moth and she'll tell her story at this open mic!

Depending on sign-ups, storytellers will have between 6 and 9 minutes of stage time, so please prepare in advance—thank you! **We will start promptly at 7pm!**
