The Southeastern Photographic Society (SPS) is a registered non-profit Atlanta-based community of photographers established in 1976 to help members learn the skills for creating great images and sharing them with others.
We use Meetup to announce all of our events, so please look below to see what is coming up.

Berry’s campus, the world’s largest, includes a vast ecosystem of woodlands, meadows and streams and has been consistently ranked among the country’s most beautiful by Architectural Digest, Travel + Leisure, Buzzfeed, Thrillist and Southern Living.
The campus is open to the public, but you must stop and show your ID at the Welcome Center on the campus entrance road.
We will meet at the Cage Athletic Center parking lot that is your first left after the Welcome Center (campus map) at 9am.
For members who are participating in the NG3C Shootout, it will give you the opportunity to scout the campus for Shootout locations. For those who are not participating, it will give you a great opportunity to shoot early fall color on the picturesque campus.

SPS has three standing meetings each month for its members and guests.
The First Friday Program and Competition features an outside speaker and a members' image competition. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend.
The Learnshops (fourth Tuesdays) and Coffee & Critique (second Saturdays) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors.
If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!

Please join us for our November meeting featuring accomplished photographer Kaylinn Gilstrap, and enter our digital image competition, "LONG EXPOSURES" (more information below).
In this talk, Kaylinn will share how following her passions and curiosities led to creating some of her personal projects. Discover the motivations behind her works and the invaluable lessons she learned along the way. Kaylinn encourages everyone to embrace their creative drive, whether for personal release or exploring the world around us.
Kaylinn Gilstrap grew up in a small ranching community in Colorado, where she began exploring photography through the local 4-H chapter. She continued her education at the Art Institute of Colorado and then worked with photographers nationwide to hone her craft.
Her personal work focuses on healthcare access, resource depletion, and the struggles of agricultural life. Kaylinn works as a commercial photographer out of Atlanta, focusing on portraiture and storytelling. Her client list includes The Bitter Southerner, Getty Images, CNN, Cisco, and Georgia Tech.
