What we’re about
This group is for anyone who wants to follow a creative, open-minded path to freedom, and unfolding health from the inside. Mainly Buddhist inspired, but with a distinctly open and creative approach. Meditation and discussion. Very concrete practice orientation, for people who really want to do some inner work and move forward to freedom.

See all- Explorations in Mindfulness and Meditation: OnlineLink visible for attendees
Join us every Thursday night to discover new experiences and new realms residing within and around us, guided by longtime meditator Paul Jaffe. We are a community supporting each other in a journey of expanding awareness and compassion. Our creative explorations are rooted in Buddhist teachings that still have startling relevance to life today.
We have a mix of regular attendees and occasional guests, but also welcome new members, whether you are an experienced meditator, have never meditated before, or especially if you have tried meditation before without success. This is a chance to develop a more subtle understanding of the whole adventure of meditation, unbinding yourself from unconscious assumptions and compulsions.
We explore different styles of meditation, but usually returning to the breath as a doorway into expanded awareness. Each session includes teaching, discussion, and meditation. Bring your questions on meditation!
Classes are currently being held remotely via Zoom. We also hold periodic in-person retreats in the Northern New Jersey or Upstate New York area.
When: Thursday nights, 7:30--9:00 PM
