We are pleased to announce that you will be able to walk the entire length of the beautiful National Trail that is the Cotswold Way with Steven Massey Hiking Tours this March/April 2025.
The trail is 102 miles long, starting in Chipping Campden and finishing in Bath. We will split this up into five (20ish mile) walks. Each walk will also include around 2-3000ft of ascent, so a good level of fitness will be required.*Tickets/spaces for this walk/event are pre booked and pre paid, please don't just turn up on the day with cash*
The fee for this walk is £5 and £10 for a coach seat to the start.

Because this is a linear walk we will be parking our cars at the end, at the Long Stay car park in Winchcombe. At 08.30 we will be leaving on a coach to travel back to the start of the walk at Chipping Campden, then we walk back to Winchcombe.

WinchcombeExpect around 2,100ft of ascent on this walk, please only join this walk if this won't be a problem, add in the 19 miles hiking, this will be a tough but rewarding day. On the flats you should be able to walk at 2.5 mph to keep up with the group.
This walk is at the beginning of March, could still be winter conditions, please bring lots of layers, expect plenty of mud!

Because this is a linear walk we will be parking our cars at the end, at Birdlip, the road/lane (free parking) leading up to Barrow Wake car park.
At 08.30 we will be leaving on a coach to travel back to the start of the walk at Winchombe, then we walk back to Birdlip.

- Uffington White Horse:
The Guardian stated in 2003 that "for more than 3,000 years, the Uffington White Horse has been jealously guarded as a
masterpiece of minimalist art" The Uffington Horse is by far the oldest of the white horse figures in Britain and is an entirely different design from the others inspired by it.- Wayland's Smithy is another highlight of today's walk. This one of the finest Neolithic Long Barrows in the country.
- Dragon Hill is a natural chalk hill with an artificially flattened top (on the scarp slope of White Horse Hill; according to legend Saint George slew the dragon here. A bare patch of chalk upon which no grass will grow is purported to be where the dragon's blood spilled. It has been suggested as some sort of Iron Age ritual site associated with the nearby hill figure.
- Uffington Castle hillfort - Bronze age/Iron age.
- Ashdown House and grounds.
Please bring plenty of layers! This is a 15 mile walk in March across very exposed countrysde.
Also bring plenty of water and food to sustain you, we will be having a lunch stop about half way.Where to meet -
