STG Social Hikes

4.5 miles, 1000’ total gain. starting at Hidden Pinyon trailhead to Padre Canyon, we will follow the hidden pinyon trail through some awesome sandstone twists, then drop into west canyon. the climb to the saddle is probably 700’ and the views are amazing. After resting at the saddle, we will turn around and head back the way we came.
I will wait until five minutes after, if not everyone is present. after that you may need to catch up. come enjoy some exercise and good conversation in the morning!

If you need a ride into the park because you don't have a pass, let me know. I can meet you on the corner of Snow Canyon Parkway and Snow Canyon Road in the parking lot at 7:45. 

4 mile, 450’ gain. This is a gorgeous hike with a variety of terrain, field, wash, sand stone, lava rock and all on an established trail. Some portions are quite sandy.

I will wait until five minutes after the scheduled time if everyone is not present. After that you will need to catch up.

6.5 miles, 350’ gain.
from the parking lot we will explore this section of the river and some interesting features it has to offer. there is a medicine wheel. a tire swing. remnants of pit houses. maybe we can spot some new petroglyphs! this will take a little over three hours depending on our pace. no scrambling.

5 miles 1200’ Gain?

We will car pool to the parking area on the north bound side of I15 by
Traveling south on I15 and making U-turn at exit 18 Cedar Pocket and
Head north to parking area near mm 23.

This hike boasts beautiful vistas of the Virgin River Gorge and
colorful majestic peaks along the Gorge.
there is a massive red stone Ship Rock; Like a giant cruise ship. We will explore the wash south of shiprock, around the ci
ner to see how f there is anything cool up there. we’ll stop at 2.5 miles and take a short rest, then We’ll then head back same route.
