What we’re about

Great movies, in great theaters, with great people. That’s the mission. A club filled with film-lovers that meets every week to watch a movie in theaters! We’ll hang out before/after each showing to talk about movies, life, and just get to know each other. I schedule a good mixture of new and old releases, and try to balance genres. We also schedule events outside the theater like our popular ‘Outdoor Movie Nights’ at Tower Grove Park! This is a great way to meet new people and socialize!

This is probably one of my top 25 fave movies of all time and the second event in our monthly partnership series with Alamo Drafthouse, where we vote on the showing and Patreon members get a free bag of popcorn! We'll meet in the lounge area 1 hour before the 6:45pm showing, for some drinks and conversation. Get tickets while you can, they're going fast!

Let’s go see the new (and possibly final?) installment in the most reliably great action franchise of all time. This is in The Big Show, so I’m prepared to have my face melted off by the sound design and spectacle. We'll meet in the lounge area 1 hour before the 7pm showing to hang out with a drink and talk movies! Then afterwards, we'll head over to a local dive bar to hang out some more!

I have no idea how it happened, but I've never seen this entire film :s :s.. I'm excited to rectify that! We'll meet in the lounge area one hour before the 3:30 showing to hang out and talk movies.

Tower Grove Park - Sons of Rest Pavilion, Saint Louis, MO
These outdoor movie nights at TG Park have been a big hit, so let’s run it back on 4th of July weekend! We’ll hang out with some food and drinks, play some yard games, and get to know each other. Once it gets dark, I’ll fire up the projector for a fun summer movie!

Then, (once they kick us out of the park lol) we’ll walk somewhere close for an afterparty at one of the local dive bars.

There will be a $10 dollar fee to cover the pavilion rental that can be paid via Venmo to @blakeofstedal, or in cash when you arrive. Any extra money will go towards the yearly organizer fee for running the group.

There are a few large BBQ pits that I’ll have going and I’ll bring popcorn for everyone. I’ll also bring some fans and a cooler filled with popsicles if its warm that night. The drinks are BYOB. Feel free to bring food or drinks for the group if you’d like, but no pressure!

I’ll bring some yard games, but if you have a fun game that you’d like to bring, go ahead! You can also bring camp chairs if you want, but there will be plenty of picnic table space. I hope to see you all there!

(Note: I’m making the starting time 3pm to get our money’s worth for the pavilion rental, but he movie won’t start until around 7:30ish and there will be an afterparty, so show up whenever you can!
