See all- Tuesday Riichi in Stockholm @ TigerMahjongTigerMahjong in Sweden, Stockholm
!! Note: New place and fee !!
🀄 Let's play some riichi!
Quick summary: press the "attend" button and then swing by!
Some important details:
🐣 Please feel free to join our mahjong game night regardless of your mahjong skill. Both seasoned and new players welcome! Fee: 80 SEK
📅 It's very important to keep your RSVP up to date! We need to know how many sets and mats to bring to the venue. Don't get concerned if the number of participants looks odd and won't result in an exact number of tables, you won't be left out from playing regardless of how many people come! On the contrary, if the number of participants won't make at least a table of 4 players, we might need to cancel the event.
💬 Please join our Discord! The door code to the venue will be posted there, as well as the payment link, and of course good old chit-chat is always awaiting there for you! https://discord.gg/tqr2AcM
🐯 We are trying out playing at Tiger Mahjong. It's a self-service automatic mahjong place that recently has opened in Stockholm. https://www.tigermahjong.com/ The fee will be 80 SEK/person for using the two rooms that we have available. The automatic tables are not included in the fee, we will play with normal tiles on junk-mats with good old hand shuffling.
⏱️ As for the time, 6 hours should get us 3-4 hanchans (especially if we're playing tournament style time limited games), or many tonpusens. We can adjust how are we spending the time to make sure that everyone gets a chance to try their hand at mahjong (pun intended). There's no hard requirement to come exactly at the event start time, it's perfectly fine to join a bit later. You might need to wait for an ongoing game to finish, but otherwise you should be able to get a round. A good way to spend the time is to spectate for a bit and learn from others' inevitable mistakes.
🍀 We have everything we need to get a game going: sets, mats and rule books. Put on your lucky socks and jump into action! Hope to see you soon!
