The Sunday Alternative, now in it's 10th year, is an inclusive secular community that meets regularly to celebrate life with great music, ideas and community outreach.
The Sunday Alternative is an excellent way to meet new people and form deep lasting friendships.

With age comes wisdom, and the realisation that making New Year Resolutions is kin to leaving a few £10 notes on the pavement and expecting them to be there in a month. It's possible but unlikely.
If your resolution is so good why did you wait until now to do it?
In this Assembly, we won't ask you to make New Year's resolutions but invite you to share those activities and habits you have adopted over the years that have improved your life.And also, those things you tried but didn't work, for sharing a mistake may have more value than sharing a success.
So, join us if you're a sharer of wisdom or a seeker of wisdom. Or just like cakes and singing.

If you're looking for a good time, look no further than The Sunday Alternative! We're a bunch of secular legends who meet monthly in Reading to celebrate life.We're about Living Better, Helping Often, and Wondering More, and we do it for one reason only - to make the most of this one life we've got.
We're a diverse bunch, so you're bound to meet some cracking new mates.
Our assemblies are chock-a-block with singing, games, engaging chats, and cake scoffing. Plus, they're inclusive—we welcome anyone, regardless of age or background.The Sunday Alternative is free to attend and runs entirely on donations.

Join us for coffee and a chat at The Reading Biscuit Factory. We'll be in the middle of the large seating area on the first floor.
The Sunday Alternative is a secular community based on nothing more than a celebration of life in all its highs and lows.
The coffee morning is very well attended by people of all ages and backgrounds.
Wheelchair accessible. (There have been problems with the lift previously so we recommend phoning ahead just to make sure)
