Hello members:
I am happy to announce that we have just scheduled another dinner at the Asian Tea House. Our hosts Kenny and his lovely wife, Yana, always prepare the best program for us.
This event will start with a cocktail hour at 6 PM and I urge any new members or even older members who have yet to attend a meet up to come to this one. The drink specials are a lot of fun, and the food is fantastic. You will get a chance to meet some of the long-standing members and even some of your fellow beginners. The last time we were here we had almost as many newbies as we did long established members. Please join us.
The hot and sour soup featured at the Asian Tea House is the best I have ever had. Former members of our group who have left town often come back and stop for a taste of the old days.
The Tea House will provide some very nice and, sometimes unusual, appetizers. The grilled octopus, and the Gyoza with a fine sauce are usually among their presentations.
Then sit back and relax as plates and plates of sushi, specialty rolls, and sashimi come to each table. Diners who are hungry when they leave haven’t been paying attention. The rest of us will be cleaning the plates. Kenny and Yana will keep the food coming until we raise the white flag of surrender. .
This event is one of the most requested events from any of our members who have been here before.
All of this will cost just $35, tax and tip included. With the rising cost of food I am surprised that they can still do this and I am pretty sure it won’t last for long. This is one of the places that I often add an extra tip to the bill.
Attendance is limited to 40 members and, as usual, our only rule is that if you sign up, you show up. If something happens that you can’t attend, take the time to enter the website and remove yourself from the RSVP list making a spot available for someone else and keeping the numbers current for the restaurant. If anything happens after the RSVPs are closed, please call me at 518-858-5558 and I will make the necessary change for you.
The policy of this club is that if you fail to honor your RSVPs, the first time you are put at the end of the list for the next meet ups, making room for those who are responsible. If it happens at second time, we regretfully have to remove you from the membership list. It is the only way that we can honor the restaurants that serve us such fabulous food so that they don’t over prepare. It also provides a vacancy for someone who is on a waiting list.
Thank you all for being a part of our fabulous meet up group. I look forward to seeing 40 of you at this meet up.
Cordially,
Ed Haddad
