The Southwest Photo Club was founded in 2006 to promote photography education in a fun and amiable atmosphere. The Club is centered in Littleton, Colorado, although anyone can join. We have monthly meetings and events featuring highly-regarded photographers who present to our club members on specific topics of interest.
We encourage members to share their photos, not for competition but to help each other learn and grow as photographers. Each month, a photo assignment challenges our members to take images of a specific subject, topic, or something to stretch their photographic talents. The images are displayed and shared at our monthly meetings.

Join SW Photo Club at 6:15 pm on June 12, 2025, and Jeff Johnson, our Master Photographer, Artist, Educator, and Chief Instigator for his virtual Presentation on how to get out of a Photography rut.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever felt like you’ve hit the wall with your photography? Maybe you can’t find your creative self? Do your images spark the excitement you hope they would? Or maybe your enthusiasm is just out of reach. You might be stuck in the proverbial “Photography Rut.” No direction, no enthusiasm and you just don’t know where to go to get back.Join us for an engaging program led by life-long photographic artist, Jeff Johnson. Jeff will take us on an exploration of strategies and exercises to hopefully reignite your passion for photography. He will guide us through practical tips to challenge yourself, to re-engage with your talents, and take you back to where you love to be with your art, and then some!
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced veteran of the art, this session is sure to inspire you, and help you light that artistic fire in your soul once again. Rediscovering the joy of photography can be as incredible as was when you first picked up a camera.
Jeff will share some quick tips as well as some truly inspiring exercises for you to enjoy and learn from. One of his favorites is to create ongoing projects. Join us and he’ll show you how he does this and more during our June 12, 2025 meeting.
SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY:
Jeff refers to himself as a Master Photographer | Artist | Educator | Chief Instigator.Admittedly these are self-inflicted titles. However, Jeff has earned the Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America and this can only be achieved with high-quality imagery and an intense and long-term participation in the industry. In his 40 years as a professional, Jeff has always been one to share exciting ideas and techniques. It only then makes sense that he offers consultations, programs, and workshops that create a vehicle where he can share the knowledge he has accumulated over these rewarding years and hopefully educate photographers everywhere.
Chief Instigator . . . now this is an interesting tag. As you may imagine Jeff has had his fair share of teasing and abuse over this one. A lot of folks think this means “troublemaker”, which, if you know Jeff, isn’t really that far-off base. But, if you look it up it means “one who urges or provokes action or course. To instigate the people to photograph.” Jeff altered this last part but this is exactly what he is trying to do, instigate!

This Registration is for this single event. Alternatively, you can join the SW Photo Club for an annual, recurring fee of $40.00.
