Lean maths
Lean is a proof assistant and has been growing in popularity, receiving interest from world-class mathematicians, and now also being taught at university undergraduate courses too. This talk is a beginner-friendly overview and live demonstration.
VR Museum
This project, which recreates a neolithic settlement in what is now Ukraine, allows visitors to explore and interact with digital artefacts in their original context. This talk introduces the experience, mentions cultural preservation through the immersive medium and discusses some of the considerations and challenges faced in the project.
Correlation and Causality: Does eating chocolate make you smarter?
In a fast paced tech environment, understanding the difference between correlation and causation is essential, as decisions based on false assumptions can lead to costly mistakes. This talk investigates the dangers of conflating the two, highlights their importance to your work, and offers practical strategies for making smarter decisions.
