What we’re about
TAMI is a community-driven hackerspace located in the center of Tel-Aviv.
Everything in TAMI is run entirely by volunteers: software and hardware techies, DIY enthusiasts, amateur wood and metalworking makers, bio and neuro-scientists, artists and musicians - curious and creative people who want to build and create, together or alone, and want a space with good atmosphere, work equipment, and other people to talk, exchange ideas and cooperate with.
We follow do-ocracy approach meaning that whoever is doing something is the person who decides how it gets done. Any group projects, building/planning new space facilities, etc. - all gets done because an ordinary member thought it was important, got people excited about it, and followed through.
We are open for anyone, no matter whether you are experienced or beginner!
Visit our space and come to our events ;)

This is a great time to visit the space if you would like to visit, meet the members and get to know how things workMondays, 1800-2100 and pretty likely more (before and after)

This'll be something between a Paper Reading Club and a lecture — it's just a hobby of mine to occasionally do deep-dives into some research topics I find interesting, so this is me sharing interesting ideas I found.
It's not a prerequisite to read the materials, but if you do, we'll be able to have interesting discussions!
The topics I want to cover:
- Simulations for RL training (Isaac gym)
- High-quality 3D scanning for generating 3D data (like this)
- Foundational Computer Vision models making heavy use of synthetic data (Sapiens + Depth-Anything-v2 + Marigold + others)
- Foundational 3D Vision models, again possible thanks to generated synthetic data (SceneScript)
- Overview of methods for generating data for Computer Vision (gdc1 / gdc2 / other)
And some more that will come up while I'm preparingLanguage: EN
