Join us at the Art Dungeon for an Introduction to Sewing Class!!!

In this class we will be making Wrap around Skirts. We will show you how to make seams, make a dart, Make button holes, and sew on buttons.

If you Bring your own supplies you will need a 1-3 yards of fabric (Depending on your size, width an height. The fabric should be able to wrap around your body 1.5 times and be as long as from your waist to however long you want it to go [ie ankle, knee, ect.]), thread, and buttons or snaps. If you'd rather make a loop than a button hole you'll need elastic lacing.

If you do not have your own supplies, that's fine, you can use some of ours for a little extra!
The class is $20 dollars with your own supplies, and $40 with our supplies.

If you have a Machine and don't know how to use it, feel free to bring your machine with you and we will teach you how to thread it and its basic functions.

Beginner Fantasy Art Class.
This is geared towards ages 5+
It is a starter class on getting into art, and using a grid system to help you draw and paint from a reference image.

In this class we will start with a canvas with a grid on it. Each participant will receive a baggy with squares that have numbers from the grid, and will have to draw the shapes from the squares in each of the corresponding grids. Upon completing the grid, the participant may then pick a media to start adding color.

This exercise helps practice drawing shapes rather than lines, and helps the individuals focus on the smaller parts of the picture instead of the whole picture all at once, it helps improve proportion, accuracy, and precision.

I've done this exercise with a wide range of ages, and seen excellent results in all of them.

This is an Introduction to Sewing Class

In this class we will go over how to add pockets to clothing. Whether it be a skirt, Jacket, pants, or other article.

We will go over how to do interior pockets, as well as external pockets.

If you would like to bring your own supplies: Something to add a pocket to, 1/4 yard of fabric depending on how many pockets you want. (fat quarters will also work) thread, and any accessories you would like to incorporate.

When using our materials the class will be $25 if bringing your own it will be $20.

If you have a sewing Machine and want to bring it feel free to do so, if you don't know how to use your machine we will be happy to take a look and show you how to thread it and use its basic functions.
