What we’re about
Ballarat Social Club was originally started in mid 2012. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable meetup experience for everyone. (We are NOT a singles group or a dating site.) Activities are limited only by the need to have someone willing to be the "event host".
Suggestions for events/activities are always welcome.
We want to have a group of people who enjoy good food, interesting conversation, are fun to go out with, and are active participants in the club. If you would like to meet some new people with a common interest, perhaps you should join up!
The Club is open to anyone 18 or older, partnered or single. Some members are locals looking to increase their social circles, others are new to the area and want to get out and meet new people.
We want to recognise you! A clear photo of yourself needs to be uploaded for safety and recognition purposes. Without this your registration will be declined.
One last thing - 'no-shows' without a valid reason (emergency or the like) will not be tolerated. Alot of venues require deposits for group bookings. We have managed to avoid these venues but to be fair on all members if you do RSVP then we expect to see you there! If you no-show then expect to be removed from the club - sign of the times I'm afraid!

MEMBERSHIP
We ask members to pay $20 per year (which is due each February) which goes towards the upkeep of the meetup site. This is payable in cash or bank transfer. For new members, the first event is complimentary to allow you to get a feel of the club and decide if it's for you, then on your second event attendance you are required to pay $20 for the remainder of that year then another $20 each February per year thereafter.
***Note - We'd like you to attend at least one event per 6 months otherwise we will de-activate your account as we assume you are not interested in being in the club anymore. You can always feel free to re-join if you change your mind***
