The Flow Of Drumming

Join us for the first drum class at this new location! This event is beginner friendly!

This class will focus on the Djembe and ashiko ONLY. I will be teaching basic and intermediate rhythms, technique, and the fundamentals of hand drumming.

Hand Drumming is a great way to express emotions to balance the mind, body and soul. It also helps destress and burn extra calories.

There will be a few extra drums (first come first serve) but please bring your own and any extras to share with others who dont own one. Chairs will be provided.

This event costs $25 and is payable through cash (preferred) , Venmo, cashapp, apple cash, PayPal, and zelle.

Never been to a drum circle or are you a beginner? No worries! Heres a quick summary on what to expect. We gather around playing Percussion instruments adding bits and pieces to main rhythm to create something unique and amazing! You may come and dance or just simple observe.

Drumming is a great way to align the body, mind and spirit. Also it helps improve blood circulation, destress and burn extra calories according to science research.

There will be a few drums extra (please bringing your own and any extras) also please bring your own CHAIR :)

Event is free but there will be a donation box if you would like to support “the flow of drumming”. (I also except, venmo, Apple Cash, cashapp, zelle, PayPal).

We gather around playing percussion instruments adding bits and pieces to create something magical! We welcome all skill levels to join in on the fun!

Studies have show that hand drumming has many Benefits including: releases endorphins, improves cognitive function (uses both hemispheres of the brain) induces deep relaxation, helps control chronic pain, boosts your immune system, creates a sense of connectedness, aligns your body and mind with the natural world, provides a way to access a higher power (spirituality), releasing negative emotions, and allows for personal transformation (self expression).

There will be some extra drums if you do not own one (first come first serve)

Food and drink is allowed and many like to bring to share with the group (and it helps since the event is around dinner time)

This class will be focused on the Djembe and ashiko. I will be teaching rhythms (and accompaniments), techniques on how to perform the three main sounds (also expert level sounds) and solos. After the First hour we transition into a more freestyle drum circle.

This will be donation based so give as much as you want (no one will ever be turned away for lack of funds).
