What we’re about
Calling all Glaswegian nerds and geeks!
We're looking to hold a monthly get together in Glasgow for like-minded individuals who enjoy all things geeky - Sci-fi, Doctor Who, Star Trek (and Wars!), Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, anime, cosplay, comics, board games etc.
The idea is to meet up, have a drink or two, get to know each other and make some new friends in and around the city.
Follow us on the Fediverse/Mastodon at https://glasgow.social/tags/geeksocial (Don't know what that is? It's open source decentralised social media - no corporations involved! Sign up at https://glasgow.social - or any other site - it's all interconnected - like the internet should be!)
We also have a Matrix chat room at #geek:glasgow.social (you can join with this invite link: https://glasgow.social/matrix).

Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Dungeons & Dragons one shot afternoon - intro for new playersThe Gamer Club, Glasgow
An introduction to 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons hosted by Fraser, Brian and Rich.
They'll be the dungeon master (DM) to take you and your party through a 3-4 hour self-contained adventure.
We have three DMs for D&D at the moment, so the event is limited to about 18 players max (though we'll have a waiting list, so do put yourself on it and we might be able to split into three or more tables if we get another experienced DM volunteer to host the other table - give one of the hosts a shout if that sounds like you!)
Due to the popularity and limited player slots for this event, if you say you are attending but don't show up without informing one of the organisers with a good reason why. You'll be asked next session to wait before claiming a space, to allow those who missed out on it to claim a spot 1st.
Each table will have dice, pens, paper and a selection of pre-made characters. You will NOT be allowed your own custom-made character or to make one on the day. All tables are beginner-friendly regardless of level.
The venue isn't licenced, but feel free to bring your own beer/wine or help yourself to tea and coffee from the kitchen.
You can get directions to the venue on our Getting Here page.
We have a D&D room on our Matrix server, you can join here with this invite link: https://glasgow.social/matrix
- Blood on the ClocktowerThe Gamer Club, Glasgow
We'll be playing Blood on the Clocktower, a party game of murder and mystery, for up to twenty players.
Please arrive on time otherwise you may not get to play. There will be a 15 minute grace period for RSVP’s to arrive, after which we may give your space to someone else. If you are going to be late please let us know and we will try to keep your space.
Game 1 will feature Trouble Brewing, a script designed for new players and a soft introduction into the social deduction genre. Game 2 will be players choice.
It's an unlicenced venue so feel free to bring along some beers or a bottle of wine - or if you prefer, there is free tea and coffee at the venue. There are directions available here: https://www.thegamerclub.co.uk/gettinghere
